BOOK REVIEW: ALCHEMY by Rory Sutherland is a book about creating magic. It is creating value for the customer and using clever marketing and understanding of real human behaviour to give your product or service an advantage in the marketplace. 🔮🤯📈
The book's core competence relates to behavioral science and it is structured into around 100 short essays of 1-6 pages each.
Due to this format it took much longer than expected to work through the 360 pages as I struggled to gain a flow or cadence even though all of the content itself was extremely well written and fascinating.
The book gave me some excellent takeaways which I am planning to implement within my own business, however this too required the reader to be able to make jumps between the content on the page and applying it in your own life, however crack this code and like the book's front cover, you're onto some gold.
